We collect information you provide directly when using Maskan:

• Account information: email address and authentication data when you create an account.
• Usage data: interactions with our AI advisor, calculators, and tools — including queries, calculator inputs, and saved properties.
• Device and log data: browser type, IP address, device type, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and server logs.
• Communications: messages sent via our contact form or support channels.

We do not collect financial account numbers, passport numbers, or Emirates ID numbers. Mortgage pre-qualification data is processed by our banking partners directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve our platform and AI tools.
• To personalize your experience — remembering preferences, saved properties, and search history.
• To connect you with licensed brokers and mortgage providers when you request it.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, alerts you opted into).
• To analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve our services.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties. We will never use your data for purposes unrelated to the platform without your explicit consent.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers located in the United Arab Emirates and secured with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use industry-standard security measures including access controls, monitoring, and regular security audits.

4. Your Rights Under UAE PDPL

Under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data held by us.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
• Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
• Receive your data in a portable format.

5. Third Parties

We share limited data with:

• Licensed brokers: when you request a broker connection, we share your contact details and property preferences.
• Banking partners: when you request mortgage pre-qualification, we share the information you provide in the application form.
• Analytics providers: anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our platform.
• Hosting and infrastructure: our cloud providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.

We require all third parties to handle your data in compliance with UAE PDPL and our privacy standards.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We use analytics cookies (which you can opt out of) to understand how people use Maskan. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
